Huyton with Roby as a place to live

Part of the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, Huyton is located just west of the M57 motorway and just 7 miles from Liverpool city centre to the west via the M62 motorway. Huyton railway station, is served by regular City Line services to and from Liverpool, St Helens, Wigan and further afield.
Huyton bus station is situated in Huyton Hey Road, adjacent to the shopping centre and approximately 150 yards (140 m) from Huyton railway station.

Educationally, there are 15 Primary and 2 secondary schools, Huyton Arts and Sports Centre for Learning (soon to be The Lord Derby Academy) on Seel Road and Christ The King Centre for Learning on Stockbridge Lane. There is also a further education college on Rupert Road, called the Roby Campus (part of Knowsley Community College). Huyton also has a newly built construction training college located on Princess Drive.

Amenities are many and varied, including a shopping centre (known locally as ‘the village’) with about 100 outlets including one of Europe’s largest and recently opened Asda Walmart complexes.
For the outdoor types, there are 7 public parks, including Bowring Park; the oldest public park in Knowsley.
Those feeling more energetic can enjoy the facilities at 2 local sports & leisure centres or play golf at 2 local 18 holes golf courses. Huyton also has its own cricket club.

For those of a more sedentary nature, the area boasts a good number of pubs and eateries.
