Wirral is a great place to live with many things to do and see

Wirral is a great place to live with many things to do and go and see.  A good way to see the Wirral on foot or by bike is going on the Wirral Circular Trail.  It passes through some of the most stunning scenery you will see in the North West of England.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say.  So the same can be said about places to live.   Different things appeal to different people.

Where possible we have asked local people to write about where they live on the Wirral.  So, for example, we have twitter followers who have written about West Kirby as they live there.  What better endorsement is there of a location?  We have also added some other pages with basic information about an area, however we are keen to get more summary editors so eventually we hope all pages will be written by people who live in the area.  So if you want to write about where you live or know someone else who does, please get in touch.

A summary of Wirral

The Wirral borders Cheshire.  It’s called the Wirral Peninsula because sticks out and is surrounded completely by water except on one side where it is attached to more land, this being Cheshire.  The West coastal area of the Wirral overlooks the River Dee to North Wales whilst East Wirral overlooks the River Mersey to Liverpool.  There are many fantastic places to visit including Ness Gardens in Neston, Hadlow Road train station in Willaston to the popular waterfronts of West Kirby and New Brighton.  It’s close proximity to the cities of Liverpool and Chester are also a big draw.
