Make property images work when renting or selling your property

It’s important to make sure your property images have an impact when renting or selling your property. It’s true that a picture paints a thousand words!

Use property images in your adverts

Make sure you have property images to use in the first place. I’m not saying you can’t sell or let a property privately without having photos. If the competition have good quality photos then you’ll need to consider using property images if you are going to compete with the best!

Good quality property images will capture the attention of people

First impressions count. If something looks pleasing on the eye it is going to capture the attention of people. It’s exactly the same with your property images. If you have great photos it is going to encourage more inquiries. This will hopefully lead to a successful sale or new tenant sign up.

So you should be able to add a least one property image. This could be a photograph of the interior or exterior of the property you are advertising for sale or rent.

Always use property photos where possible

property imagesWe always try to encourage our own customers to use property photos where possible. In some cases you will be able to see photos with scaffolding outside the property.

Whilst this may not look pleasing as a property image it is important to explain the photograph. If you are renovating the property, then mention this in the body of your advert. It gives prospective tenants or buyers an interest to inquire about it. Why? Because you have stated a plus point, you are ‘renovating the property’. A big tick in the box! They can use their imagination to visualise what it may look like.

If you don’t have a property image with your advert how are they able to do this? Only people in that particular area will know what the property looks like from the outside.

Have you advertised a property for sale or rent without using a property image? If so, why? Please feel free to submit comments.
