According to the Lancashire Telegraph, a total of 36 two and three-bedroom properties currently being built in Keld, Barrowford, will be offered for sale through Shared Ownership by housing developer Laurus Homes. The houses are part of a wider development of 239 properties already underway from northern-based homebuilder Northstone, which will be available in late summer.

Insider Media has reported that work is underway on a new development in Blackburn which will see more than 370 homes built. Of those, 20 percent will be allocated as affordable homes by Together Housing and 154 will be available for private rent through PRS provider, Sigma Capital. The development will be called Brookfield Vale and will include a mix of two, three and four bedroomed houses.

Place North West has reported Countryside is looking at a spring start for 408 Maghull homes. Of the 408 homes Countryside is delivering, 133 will be designated affordable. There will also be 53 homes available for private rent and 222 for open market sale. Countryside’s scheme also includes an assisted living facility for those 55 and older. The first homes are expected to be finished around the end of this year.

The Business Desk has reported, Redrow has extended its development plans for The Grange at Yew Tree Park development, on Liverpool Road South. The 12.5-acre parcel of land will include 169 homes, 59 of which will be affordable housing. Work on the new development is due to begin in summer this year with plans for homes to go on the market in spring/summer 2023.

Place North West has reported Ashberry Homes has begun building a 71-home scheme to be known as the Depot. The project will feature a mix of semi-detached, detached and mews properties. There will be 20 two-bedroom homes, 40 with three bedrooms and 11 four-bedroom properties. A total of 14 will be earmarked as affordable.

Place North West has reported, Keepmoat has secured permission from Blackburn with Darwen Council to build 160 open-market homes and 50 affordable, key hospital worker apartments on land off Haslingden Road, as well as outline permission for a further 100 key worker flats. Under Keepmoat Homes’ plans, both the 50 initial apartments and the 100 future flats will prioritise key workers connected to Royal Blackburn Hospital. The first set of apartments will all have two bedrooms.

What is a new build property?
