We bring you three flats to choose from that will be available from to rent this February 2026. The properties at Singleton Court are rental properties and initially granted as a starter tenancy. However, if you have left an assured tenancy, we will automatically sign you up for a continued assured tenancy with Housing21. Singleton Court has a minimum age limit of 55 years for anyone wanting to take a tenancy.
Our facilities include a Communal Lounge that is absolutely superb and decorated to a very high standard, with a snooker table that also doubles up as a large dining table, large smart TV and comfortable sofa, seating and coffee table, with a brand new fitted kitchen. The lounge is available for you to use with family and friends and for social and recreational activities, with external functions a small hourly fee is charged. Generally inclusive events where all residents are invited there is no charge.
The communal areas grounds and gardens are intended for use by residents. There is a mixture of bedded areas/borders and footpaths and areas of lawn. There is a patio in the central courtyard and a pergola, where there is a smoking area. There is also other seated non smoking areas around the garden.
There is a communal laundry room for use by residents as there are no washing machines in the flats. Residents purchase their own laundry liquid and book a slot on the Rota displayed on the notice board. The servicing of the washing machines and driers are included in your service charge.
We have a newly decorated Guest Room which has two single beds, a small hand basin and tea/coffee making facilities with seating; a chest of drawers and wardrobe. Should residents guests wish to stay over night the charge is £15.00 per night for external guests the charge is £20.00 per night. On the same floor across the hall is communal shower room which guests can use again decorated to a high standard.
There is no scooter storage at Singleton Court at this current time, and we do not have storage for motorised wheelchairs. However if residents have a small scooter with a battery that can be removed and can safely fit in their flat and does not block fire exits this will be permitted.
Parking is first come first saved and there are 13 spaces available in the car park with other local areas close by were parking is permitted, on the adjacent road.
We have a communal aerial system that incorporates satellite reception as standard. Each property has a satellite outlet should you choose to use it and we also have guest wifi.
Singleton Court is a pet friendly scheme and welcomes responsible owners who have obtained Housing21s permission to keep a pet on the premises. Dogs must be kept on a lead when walking through the communal areas.
The current rent charges are from £104.68 to £165.16 with an additional service charge of 42.04 and a support costs of £5.54 on a weekly basis.
Residents must pay for their own water, electricity and gas costs as well as council tax.
There are 4 flats to each block (10 blocks in total), there are ground floor and first floor flats accessible by several steps from ground to first floor for this reason we do not have a lift or stair lifts. There is a local housing manager on site from 8 am to 4pm and when the office is not manned the 24 hour external support service is.
