I am part of the Prince’s Trust Programme; I had volunteered to do a two week work experience with Moving Soon. When I first heard that I would be working for Moving Soon I was expecting it to be a quite strict and strict uniform but it had turned out to be I was working in a shed inside a larger building. It was bizarre to think I was doing office work inside a shed and I was allowed to wear casual wear.
On my first day I was a bit nervous, but as soon as I met Paul and Lisa and the team I felt like this was the right thing to do. I felt better in myself I am really enjoying myself at Moving Soon.
Doing this work experience has helped me with my confidence and my communication skills and it will help me boost my CV and open more doors for me in the future. The staff at Moving Soon are really friendly, helpful and very good on advice. The Moving Soon’s website is quick and easy to use.
My favourite part of working with Moving Soon team, is doing PowerPoints and comparing competitors and uploading properties for clients. Also I have explored the site as a client which was interesting but also I got to view the site as a housing association which was really good I found it easy when uploading properties I was expecting it to be really difficult to pick up but it was quick and simple. I found interesting comparing sites to Moving Soon and being able to give suggestions to the team.
Before, I started to work in an office at first I felt like I would of struggled with the work that had come along with it but I really enjoy my time in the office and I have found the work that I have been given has been straight forward and easy and if I had struggled with wording or putting information on something Lisa or Paul have helped me word it correctly.
I was expecting it to be boring and hard environment to be around but it wasn’t, it is fun and easy and it is always a positive atmosphere to be around, everyone get along really well and chatty.
Everyone tries to help each other to get the work done on time. I have been on time or early every day and I have enjoyed myself.
