Both Yeovil Junction (2.6 miles) and Yeovil Pen Mill (1.4 miles) train stations are accessible by car and by bus.

There are plenty of National Trust sites just a short drive away, including Montacute House (4.4 miles) and Barrington Court near Ilminster (13.5 miles), and within Yeovil itself there is Yeovil Country Park with riverside walks and Ninesprings Park (1.2 miles).
